in softball and basketball. Elise is preparing to attend a four-year university to study
Physical Therapy.

Ella is the daughter of Kent & Erin Herbst. She has been recognized for her academic

the All-conference Academic Team, and was a recipient of awards in the Math,
Science, Science, English, and Physical Education departments. Ella is involved in
ALIV, gymnastics, NHS, cross country, band, and core team. She is looking to attend a
college in the Midwest and plans to focus on math and science.

advanced courses and participating in several activities. He is involved in cross
country, Black Market soccer, Camp Invention, and core team. Christopher plans to
major in Mechanical Engineering at a four-year university.

“Rotary is very proud to recognize Ella, Elise, and Christopher as students of the
month,” said Tracy Larson, STMA Rotary Club President. “They have demonstrated a
commitment to academic excellence and represent the service above self ideals of
Rotary. We wish them a successful future.”
The STMA Rotary Club honors students of the month during each month of the school
year. The awards are given during the students’ junior year so they may include them
on college applications and scholarship forms. Rotary Students of the Month are
selected by STMA’s homeroom teachers. Rotary Students of the Month must
demonstrate an interest in their community, have personal accomplishments or
achievements, show respect to themselves and others, show a passion for “Service
above Self,” must be drug/alcohol free, and cannot have committed a crime.
